Three of us high school kids went along with Jimmy’s suggestion to go rafting down the Youghiogheny River, none of us having any experience doing this, and believing Jimmy when he said he did.

In the late 1970s there was no internet to check out these things in advance, but there was much ignorance for a bunch of novices who did not belong in those waters.
