Truwriter on Github says:
‘It focuses on the writing rather than WordPress’.
For a writer, those words are magic. WordPress has completely forgotten that it was all about words. At one point it might have changed its name to Imagepress. And nowadays ‘Monetisepress’.
So, when I clicked on my first and second and so on pages on splot, I observe almost no words and the most enormous images dominating my screen. I’m on a 14″ laptop but the head image of the posts is so large that I can’t even see it all on one screen. Let alone any writing, which you come to eventually by scrolling down.
This is my test post to see if I have to put a header image on top of my writing. Crossing my fingers here…
Arrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. As far as I can tell, an enormous header image is compulsory. Darn, darn and double darn.
Hi. I cannot forecast every need, desire, so had never thought of a desire to not use images.
But your quote of the statement is on target. I can add an theme option to offer users a no image option, or even not even use it if you want all entries to be free of images. Or maybe that it’s used on the front page only.
Just for your perusal, I removed the image, so you can see a image-less version.
This is not decreed by WordPress, as a developer (and as anyone who runs that own site can do) I can make it do almost anything.
This can be a future feature.
And please keep in mind, there is no monetizing here, I have been doing these themes on my own time and dime.
