{"id":343,"date":"2020-04-29T23:18:20","date_gmt":"2020-04-29T23:18:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/splot.ca\/extraordinary\/?p=343"},"modified":"2020-05-18T03:52:43","modified_gmt":"2020-05-18T03:52:43","slug":"you-cant-see-us-but-we-are-here-to-help","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/splot.ca\/extraordinary\/story\/343\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;You can&#8217;t see us, but we are here to help!&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Austin Community College Library Services is committed to providing critical support to both students and faculty alike during this ongoing public health crisis.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Although the Library has delivered 24\/7 support and online materials for decades, it has expanded faculty librarian services to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">support ACC\u2019s new virtual service and learning environment. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In this new space, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ACC LS has adopted,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> revised, and expanded <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">practices for online\/virtual library instruction; <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">integrated<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> new software for connecting librarians to users for answeri<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ng information and research&nbsp; <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">questions; <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">instituted a more formal process for <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">virtual consultations between <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">faculty<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> librarians and classroom faculty; and created new, how-t<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">o online resources including <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">videos for students, faculty, and staff. All of these <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">services and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">resources, as well as information about how we can meet needs, can be found on our new <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/researchguides.austincc.edu\/LSinfoCOVID19\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Library Information and Services during COVID-19 LibGuide<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Our website and this<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> guide are being <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">continuously<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> updated to reflect the constantly-changing environment in which we find ourselves.
